Dennis Erb, Jr. Heads to West Virginia for Huge Labor Day Weekend

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (August 30) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team traveled to the Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois and the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on August 24-25 for a pair of Dirt Late Model events.  On Friday night at Kankakee, Dennis timed in third fastest in qualifying, ran fifth in the fast heat race, and later moved up two spots in the $1,000 to win weekly main event to claim a third place effort behind only winner Kevin Weaver and runner-up Ryan Unzicker.

At Lawrenceburg on Saturday evening, Dennis laid down the eighth fastest lap in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later grabbed the third transfer spot in his heat race.  During the course of the $10,000 to win main event, Dennis hung around the top ten before eventually guiding his #28 Team Zero entry to an eleventh place performance.  Complete results from the doubleheader weekend can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com and www.kankakeecountyspeedway.com.

Next up for the Dennis Erb Racing team will be a huge tripleheader in the Mountaineer State of West Virginia from August 31-September 2.  The Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia will take center stage on Friday and Saturday by playing host to the 3rd Annual ‘Black Diamond 125.’  The unique $150,000-plus event includes a pair of 40-lap preliminary features on Saturday paying $10,000 to win each and the 45-lap 'Sweet Sixteen' finale – for the top eight finishers in each prelim – that offers a rich $20,000 top prize.  Sunday’s weekend finale will take place at the I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the $25,000 to win ‘Hillbilly 100.’  Additional information can be obtained by clicking on www.worldofoutlaws.com and www.lucasdirt.com.
