R.J. Conley Readies for World 100; Rod Conley Opts for Skyline Speedway

WHEELERSBURG, OH (September 6) - A huge Labor Day weekend doubleheader greeted the Conley Motorsports, Inc. team on August 31-September 1 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.  On Friday night, an unsanctioned show was held at PRP and a $7,000 top prize was on the line.  Delmas Conley won his B-Main prior to advancing up to the seventh spot in the 40-lap feature event.  Rod Conley also finished in the top ten of the attrition-filled race, as he came home ninth, while brother R.J. Conley recorded a fourteenth place performance.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series then rolled into town on Saturday to sanction the annual 'Pepsi River Days Rumble.'  Each of the three Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers once again found their way into the night's $10,000 to win feature event.  Rod ran fifth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later moved up to the eleventh position in the 50-lap main event.  R.J. finished fourth in heat race action prior to posting a fourteenth place effort in the 'Pepsi River Days Rumble,' while Delmas retired early and wound up twenty-second in the final rundown.  Full results from the double-dip at PRP can be accessed online at www.portsraceway.com.

This upcoming weekend will see the Conley’s differ on their scheduling.  Delmas, the patriarch of the racing Conley family, has opted to take the September 7-8 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition.  Rod is scheduled to tackle the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on Friday night for a weekly program.  R.J. will take his #71c entry to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the 42nd Annual ‘World 100.’  The winner at the “Big E” this weekend will receive a whopping $45,000 winner’s check.  You can keep up on all three driver’s schedules by logging onto www.conleymotorsportsinc.com.

The respective #71 teams would like to thank the following companies for their support this season:  American Metal Supply Company, Conley Trucking, Cornett Building Supply, Vinyl Kraft Windows, Mortgage One Financial Group, Brown Services, Rocket Chassis, Draime Racing Engines, Impact Racing Decals, Schoenfeld Headers, Snap-On Racing, Hoosier Racing Tires, Wrisco, Allstar Performance, Design 500, Bazell Race Fuels, Poske's Performance Parts, Mason Racin', Arizona Sport Shirts, Delph Communications, and Weld Racing Wheels.
