Garnes rolls to victory in Jack-O-Lantern 30 feature at Skyline Speedway

STEWART, OH (October 13) - In the late model feature, Fast Freddie Carpenter led the early portions of the race, but in a similar plot to the sprint main, Chris Garnes battled Carpenter for eight grueling laps. Garnes made a high side pass stick, then had to withstand pressure from Carpenter for several laps.

As traffic began to separate the cars, Garnes found a groove and began a rampage that left very few prisoners as he lapped all but the top seven cars in what reportedly was his 18th win of the season. K-C Burdette and Chris Carpenter mounted charges from deep in the field as Andy Bond anchored third for much of the event just ahead of Ralph Withem and Dan Morrison.

At one point a 12th place Bob Adams, Jr. raced into 7th place before fading to ninth at the finish. Chris Carpenter had a flashy run to the front, storming from 11th to third place at the finish. K-C Burdette blasted from last to seventh--a pick-up of 11 spots to earn hard charger honors.

Withem , Bond, and Morrison all drove steady races to finish well into the top ten. Garnes lapped several cars in the field two times in his impressive run. Rounding out the top ten were Garnes, Freddie Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, Andy Bond, Ralph Withem, Dan Morrison, K-C Burdette, Tyler Carpenter, Bob Adams, Jr., and Larry Bond.
