Rod Conley Eleventh in Fall 50; Conley’s Gear Up for DTWC

WHEELERSBURG, OH (October 18) - Rod Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, returned to Dirt Late Model competition on Saturday, October 13 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky.  The unsanctioned 'Fall 50' was held at the 1/2-mile facility over the weekend and a $5,000 top prize was on the line.  Rod ran third in heat race action, which earned him a starting spot mid-pack in the 50-lap feature event.  "Hot Rod" then hovered around the top ten for much of the 'Fall 50' before eventually earning a respectable eleventh place finish.  Complete results from Florence can be viewed online at www.florencespeedway.com.

Next up for all three Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers will be the 32nd running of the ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ scheduled for October 19-20 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over their season finale at PRP and the crown jewel event once again boasts a hefty $50,000 payday.  Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, while the consolation events, $3,000 to win ‘Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifiers Race,’ and the 100-lap ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ are all scheduled for Saturday evening.  

The high-definition cameras of the Lucas Oil Productions Studios will be on hand at Portsmouth to tape all of the wheel-to-wheel action for broadcast on the SPEED Channel.  Delmas, Rod, and R.J.
