Tim Roszell Takes The First Win Of The Season In The Super Late Model

EASTABOGA, AL (March 9) – The Fans and drivers filled the venue at Talladega Short Track for the 36th Season Opener. All divisions were sporting new car wraps, paint schemes and driving skills to wow the fans. Every division had the fans either on their feet or on the edge of their seat witnessing the racing action at the hornets nest.

Chevrolet of Boaz Super Late Models ran its 30 lap feature event. Starting on the pole was Tim Busha (Boaz) and front row outside was Tim Roszell (Anniston), 2nd row inside, Adam Martin (Talladega) and outside 2nd row Ross Martin (Talladega). With a strong front two rows, the green flag came out with nothing but speed. After the first 2 laps, Busha encountered problems with his car and returned to his pit area. Roszell fought hard to hold off both Martin's, Michael Page (Douglasville, GA) wheeled his car hard to hold off Terry Smith (Oxford) with no success. When the checkered flag came out, Smith had battled hard and made the pass of Page and Ross Martin to take the 2nd place winnings. Ross Martin 3rd place.

Dustin Stewart took home the winnings from the Sportsman Division, 2nd place went to Jonathan Chapman and 3rd place to Travis Kress.

Josh Adkins claims his 1st win of the season in the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Division at TST, 2nd place to Mark Page and 3rd place was claimed by Adam Gauldin.

In the Thunder 92.7 FM Thunder Car Division, Michael Blakeney took home the 1st place winnings, 2nd place Billy Bright and 3rd place went to Gene Norman.

Josh McBride claims the win in the Dorsey Supermarket Hot Shot Division, 2nd place winnings went to Corey Pressley and third to Case McAvoy.

Steven Coley takes 1st place in the Ponder Agency Farmers Insurance of Oxford Street Stock Division. Phillip Haynes 2nd place and third to Andy Davis.
