Davenport reschedules Deery Series for July 5

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 18) – A familiar story applies for another event in the Deery Brothers Summer Series: Rain, and way too much of it.

Davenport Speedway has postponed the IMCA Late Model tour race scheduled for Friday, April 19 to Friday, July 5.

While the rescheduled date is during the weekly point season, the division is not running that night at either the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines or at Farley Speedway.

All weekly classes other than the sanctioned Late Models will run on July 5 at Davenport. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

The Saturday, April 20 Deery Series event is still on as scheduled at Farley.

One tour event has made it into the books despite a very wet month. Denny Eckrich of Tiffin was the opening night winner at 34 Raceway in West Burlington on April 6.

ALMS, CBC, MARS Event Postponed at Tri-City Speedway

Due to heavy rains and less than favorable conditions, Friday's event at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois has been postponed. Officials from the CBC, MARS, ALMS and Tri-City are working on finding a date to reschedule the event for a later date.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Events at Roaring Knob Postponed

MARKLEYSBURG, PA (April 18, 2013) - Officials of Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex have decided to postpone the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event scheduled for Friday, April 19th due to forecasts predicting a 100% threat of rain and the potential for severe weather outbreaks in the area. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 28th, and will become part of a three-race swing along with Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY on Friday, July 26th and Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD on Saturday, July 27th.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will continue this weekend's remaining stops on the tour through the Appalachians as originally sheduled.

COMP Cams Super Dirt Series at Batesville Rained Out; I-30 Set to Roll as Scheduled

Beebe, Arkansas (04/18/13) – Rain strikes again as officials with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models and Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) have been forced to cancel the event for this Friday, April 19th. The $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start event for Saturday night, April 20th at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) will be held as scheduled.
