Dennis Erb, Jr. Readies for Farmer City and LaSalle on Heels of Lucas Oil Doubleheader

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (April 24) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team ventured east with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to the states of Maryland and West Virginia on April 20-21 for a pair of $10,000 to win showdowns.  On Saturday at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland, Dennis timed in eleventh fastest in Group A during qualifying and later finished eighth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main.  After receiving an emergency provisional to gain access into the 50-lap feature event, Dennis was able to move up nine spots on his way to a sixteenth place performance.

At the reconfigured West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia on Sunday evening, Dennis posted the tenth quickest lap in Group A during time trials and later placed fifth in his heat race.  Following a strong second place effort in his B-Main, Dennis started the 50-lap main event from the inside of the tenth row.  The Carpentersville, Illinois ace was then able to pick off five competitors during the race en route to a fourteenth place finish.  Dennis currently sits fifth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following WVMS.  Complete results can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sitting idle this upcoming weekend, the Dennis Erb Racing team has plans of competing locally at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois and the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois.  On Friday night, April 26, Farmer City will play host to a $5,000 to win program, while LaSalle will hold a regular weekly Super Late Model event on Saturday evening, April 27.  You can view Dennis’ upcoming schedule by logging onto www.denniserb.com.
