KERSHNER GETS FIRST EVER FOUR CYLINDER WIN AT HAGERSTOWN BEFORE RAIN WIPES OUT THE REST

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Cody Kershner accomplished one thing Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway. He scored his first ever win in the National Speed Supply/Dave Padula Motorsports Four Cylinders feature and Scott Palmer had led seven laps of the 31-Lap Bill Bowman Special Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic late model sportsman feature before Mother Nature snuck in unannounced and wiped out the remainder of the nights program which was Student Night/ Armed Forces Appreciation Night. The radar screen showed nothing within 50 miles of the track. 

To complete the scheduled events, the following make ups have been added as noted: 1.Hobby stocks are added to next Saturday’s May 25 program with Dave Shatto and Dylan Welsh on the front row; 2.Pure Stocks are added to the Saturday June 1st program with Kenny Dillon and Dave Stouffer Jr. on the front row; 3. The Bowman Special will restart on lap eight in the way scored and complete the remaining 24 laps Saturday, June 8th. 

Kershner started third and surged ahead of pole sitter Kevin Thomas to lead the opening lap while Ed Gageby and previous two race winner Ryan Laye were working from the final row.

Gageby arrived in third by lap four to take the runner up spot from Thomas the next circuit but could not overtake Kershner while Laye got to fourth by lap eight and trailed Thomas the remaining seven laps. Brian Neff finished fifth.  Gageby was the J &S Salvage LLC Hard Charger.

Scott Palmer surged from fourth starting position into the lead over Chad Myers with eighth starting Paul Cursey advancing past Myers on the fourth lap. Wayne Walls Jr. and Frankie Plessinger were running fourth and fifth when the rain arrived to halt the $1,000 to win event.
