Elliott now five for five in Late Models
by Charlie Brown DELMAR, DE (May 25) - The 20 lap Super Late Model 20-lap feature would be a very quick affair taking only seven minutes and nine seconds to run but the result would be the same as in past weeks. Brandon Dennis started on the pole but Ricky Elliott, who started in third, would edge by on the outside of Dennis to lead lap one. The race would go caution free which was perfect for Elliott.
As Elliott pulled away , Andrew Mullins worked by Lou Johnson for third. By the halfway sign the top five were Elliott, Dennis, Mullins, Kerry King, Jr. and Johnson. Mullins would pass Dennis with three to go but Elliott was long gone. Elliott remained perfect on the season with five wins in five starts. Mullins finished in the second spot with Dennis third. King, Jr. finished a personal best in fourth and David Hill rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Dennis and Johnson
Super Late Model Finish: 1. Ricky Elliott; 2. Andrew Mullins; 3. Brandon Dennis; 4. Kerry King, Jr.; 5. David Hill; 6. Nick Davis; 7. Kerry King; 8. Bob Geiger; 9. Lou Johnson; 10. Donald Lingo, Jr.
