Buhler tops Late Models at Manitowoc County Expo Speedway

Diamond Jim Letizia and Tom Naeyaert rolled out at the head of the Feature event, followed by Justin Hirt and Tim Buhler in the 7B. Naeyaert grabbed the lead and Buhler and Hirt started a battle for 2nd. Caution flew on Lap 5 after a hard wreck involving TJ Dolhoun whose car veered hard left on the backstretch after breaking the left front suspension, and Dave Jensema who flipped violently after contact. Both drivers emerged ok but shaken and were finished for the night. Naeyaert led Hirt, Buhler, Scheffler, and Aaron Holiday to the restart, but a quick run of cautions for spins by Justin Schmidt and Jim Letizia kept the field grouped up tight. At the crossed flags it was still Buhler, who got around Naeyaert on one of the restarts, with Russ Scheffler, Hirt, and Holiday rounding out the top 5. The top 5 continued to battle as the laps ticked down and crossing checkers it was Buhler with a well deserved win, Naeyaert, Scheffler, Hirt, Holiday, Pete Parker, and Dan Dippel rounding out the top 7. Biggest mover honors to Scheffler picking up 6 spots.
