Deery, HDT doubleheader at Webster City postponed to June 6

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (June 4) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series and Karl Performance Hawkeye Dirt Tour doubleheader scheduled tonight (Tuesday) at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City has been postponed to Thursday, June 6. 

Rain and a continuing threatening forecast, two familiar themes to an already soggy race season, get the blame.

Thursday’s race day schedule will be identical to the one planned for Tuesday. Pit gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission will be $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and $10 for students, with kids five and under admitted free. Pit passes are $30. 

The Deery Series for IMCA Late Models feature pays $3,000 to win and a minimum $300 to start. The Karl Performance Hawkeye Dirt Tour feature for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds will pay $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start.

The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. 

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods also run for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $300 to win at Webster City. Both divisions will use the draw/redraw format.
