Dennis Erb Racing Readies for Dirt Late Model Dream After Tazewell Top Five

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (June 4) - The Dennis Erb Racing team rolled into the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Friday, May 31 for another exciting Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tussle.  Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in seventeenth fastest during the qualifying session and later finished sixth in heat race action.  After starting the 'Toyota Knoxville 50' from the inside of the ninth row, Dennis was able to stay out of trouble and charged towards the front of the field in the $10,000 to win affair.

Dennis eventually moved all the way up to fourth in the final rundown to finish behind only winner John Blankenship, Jimmy Owens, and Earl Pearson, Jr.  Saturday's annual running of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial' at the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky was then won by Mother Nature.  The Carpentersville, Illinois standout is tied for fifth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the visit to "The Taz."  Full results from Tazewell can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis and his #28 team will now turn their sole focus to the 19th Annual ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ by Ferris Commercial Mowers.  The Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will once again play host to the sport’s richest first place prize on Saturday, June 8, as a $100,000 paycheck will be in the balance.  However, in a new twist, Twin 25 lap feature events will be held on both Thursday ($2,500 to win each) and Friday ($5,000 to win each) leading up to Saturday’s normal format.  The three-day crown jewel extravaganza on June 6-8 now boasts a potential 31 races and 567 laps, with a posted payoff of $304,575.00.  Additional information on this year’s version of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.eldoraspeedway.com.
