CHATSWORTH, GA (August 24) - Randy “The Dream” Weaver got a lil’ redemption Saturday night at the North GA Speedway in Chatsworth/Dalton. The Crossville, TN pilot of the # 116 “Outlaw Race Parts, Stone Land Clearing & Excavating, A.F. Stone Professional Medical Services, Precision Trailer Parts & Service, Bailey Co., Pipes by Outlaw, Fuel Safe” sponsored Weaver built GRT, Cornett Thunder powered Super Late Model took over from early race leader and fast qualifier David Payne of Murphy, NC en route to a $3,000 payday for the 2nd annual Biddle Ridley Memorial. Weaver had previously been over-powered late in the race at NGS just a few weeks ago at the Ultimate series event.
“We’re testing some stuff for our Fall racing program, Weaver admitted and were able to capitalize last night and tonight.” stated Weaver, speaking for his weekend sweep of two Georgia racetracks. Despite a low SLM turnout fans got to see a great race as local favorite Jeff Smith of Villanow, GA chased down Weaver in the late stages of the 40-lap affair. Payne held off both Aaron Ridley for third with Derek Ellis both of Chatsworth, GA rounding out the Top-5. Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA had the night off from the Ultimate series title chase finished 6th with Aaron Wilson, Michael Asberry, Jerry Bradley and Daven Dilbeck rounding out the Top-10.
In other racing action; Justin Litchford of Tullahoma, TN won the LLM feature, Jeff Smith won the Crate LM feature, Matt Leonard won Pony’s, David Ghorley won Mod Lites, Jordan Rodabaugh won Sportsman, Tony Walston won Econo Hobby and Greg Tinker took the Mod. Hobby race. North GA Speedway is taking Labor Day weekend off to be with family and enjoy the local Fireworks show in town, but will return to Saturday September 7th with a $2,000 to-WIN Steel-head LLM Fall Back-to-School Championship race.
