Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at Rome Canceled Due to Rain

Rome, GA (October 6) - Officials of Rome International Speedway and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made the decision to cancel tonight's "Rome Showdown" at Rome International Speedway due to rain forecasted to continue throughout the remainder of the evening and night. The event will not be made-up as there is no suitable rain date for the event left on the schedule.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to action in two weeks with the RED BUCK Dirt Track World Championship presented by Borrowed Blue at Portsmouth Raceway Park, in Portsmouth, OH on October 18-19th. On Friday, October 18th, there will be Time Trials and full heat races. On Saturday, October 19th, there will be B-Mains, the Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifiers Race, and the 100-Lap, $50,000-to-win main event. For more information, go to www.portraceway.com.
