Southern All Stars Will Be Rockin’ At Smoky Mt Speedway Saturday Night April 26th

FAYETTEVILLE, TN - The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will be making its first stop of the 2014 season Saturday night April 26th at the Smoky Mt Speedway in Maryville, TN., for the 3rd Annual Rockin’ with the Stars 40 sponsored by WIMZ for the Super Late Models paying $5,000 to win.

2013 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., will lead the contingent of drivers into the third race of the season with the series and looks to add to his win total in 2014 as he captures the first race of the season at Boyds Speedway in Ringgold, GA., Jason Hiett of Oxford, AL., is second in series points and is only six points behind Hickman coming into the Smoky Mt event. Hiett was on his way to capturing his first career win with the series until trouble with a lapped car caught Hiett allowing Joe Armistead of Senoia, GA.,, to pass Hiett and take his first career win at East Alabama, Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN., is making his first run with the series in 2014 and has had some impressive finishes that have put him in the fourth spot for the points chase and rounding out the top five is Gadsden, AL. driver Bo Shirley, all of these drivers are expected to be in action Saturday night.

Eric Cooley of Fulton, MS., Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL., Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., William Thomas of Phenix City, AL., Cale Finley of Athens, AL., and Mark Gant of Savannah, TN., are also expected to be in action.

Drivers from across the area that are expected to be in action include Jason Welshan of Maryville, TN., Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN., David Payne of Murphy, NC., Billy Ogle Jr of Knoxville, TN., Mark Vineyard of Knoxville, TN., Tommy Kerr of Rockford, TN., Dusty Carver of Englewood, TN., Vic Hill of Mosheim, TN., Mark Douglas of Knoxville, TN., Stacy Boles of Knoxville, TN., plus many more.

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will compete in White Performance Qualifying, with the top 8 cars out of group A & B qualifying locked in, 2 PPM Racing Products B Mains to set remainder of the field along with 2 series provisionals followed by a 40 lap feature event. Also on the program will be a $1,500 to win Limited Late Model event, Street Stocks and Mini Stock. Admission prices are Grandstands: $15/$5, Tier Parking: $20/$10, Pit Passes: $35/$15
