Lucas Oil MLRA Invades Outlaw Motorsports Park for Twin Bill
WHEATLAND, MO (May 14) - Fresh off of a highly successful weekend in the Hawkeye state, the Lucas Oil MLRA is right back at it this weekend at Outlaw Motorsports Park, located just south of Muskogee, Oklahoma. The two night show will find the stars of the series racing for $2,000 to win on Friday night and $3,000 to win on Saturday. There have been 14 previous shows sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA at Outlaw, but none since the 2006 season. "Outlaw (Motorsports Park) is a super nice place and the folks who run it are good people," commented recent MLRA winner Jesse Stovall. "We've had some success there in the past and are looking to have a strong weekend prior to the Show Me 100. I'm really looking forward to getting another weekend of racing under my belt in these new Victory Circle Cars." Chad Simpson currently leads the standings and is looking for his first MLRA victory of the season. One of last weekend's winners, Travis Dickes, currently sits in second place. Brad Looney is just four markers back of Dickes in third, with both Terry Phillips and Jeremy Payne hot on Dickes and Looney's heels. The Sunoco Rookie of the Year chase is separated by just twenty points, with Scott Lewis leading J.C. Wyman.
