12 Features in One Evening at SSP on Saturday Night

Newberrytown, PA (May 31, 2014) – Saturday night at the Susquehanna Speedway Park featured a full slate of racing as well as five make-up feature races postponed from the previous Saturday night.  The evening featured more than 120 cars in the pits with over 300 laps of action-packed racing on the Newberrytown oval.  
 
In the Late Model action, Dover’s J.R. Rodriguez drove to victory over Billy Wampler and Gene Knaub.  In the make-up feature earlier in the evening, Manchester’s Randy Christine Jr. picked up the convincing win besting Billy Wampler in second and Cameron Benyou finishing a career best third place.
 
Street Stock action found Chris Derr picking up the 20-lap victory with Scott Thunberg and Jimmy Combs in podium finishes.  Jasen Geesaman won the make-up feature.
 
The exciting Xtreme Stock Car feature event had Patrick McClane taking the win over Matt Wampler in a spirited battle to the end.  Johnny Palm finished third.  McClane also picked up the make-up feature win as well.  
 
In Road Warrior action, Eric Boozel went two-for-two by winning both the regularly scheduled feature as well as the make-up race.  The second win was extremely difficult with Daryl Sipe and Brian Lefebvre very close at the finish in the three-car race long battle.  
 
Kody Lehman bested the field in the 20-lap PA Sprint Series feature when he inherited the lead from Tyler Reeser who led the first 17 circuits before retiring from the race with mechanical failure.  Colby Dice and Billy Ney finished second and third respectively.  
 
Zac Kitner and John Kitner each earned victories in the Mini Van features.  Keith Dorsey won both races in the Jr. Road Warrior division.
 
In the most exciting race of the evening, Ricky Weaver Jr. won the 20-lap Figure 8 race.
