COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Reschedules 4th Annual Rockabilly 45by Ben Shelton
BEEBE, Arkansas (06/22/14) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil has rescheduled the 4th Annual Rockabilly 45 for July 12th at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).
The event originally scheduled for June 6th-7th fell victim to rain and has been rescheduled as a single day show on Saturday, July 12th. The race will pay $3,000-to-win and $400-to-start. The 4th Annual Rockabilly 45 will be part of a doubleheader weekend that begins the night before at North Central Arkansas Speedway (Flippin, Arkansas) with a $2,000-to-win and $300-to-start program.
The CCSDS competitors next return to action at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on July 4th-5th with two big shows.
The weekend opens on Friday, July 4th with a $1,500-to-win/$250-to-start event with a $75 entry fee. On Saturday, July 5th a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start program will be contested with a $100 entry fee. Each feature will be 30 laps. As a further incentive the top two finishers from Friday night's program are guaranteed the ninth and tenth starting spots in Saturday night's feature if they are unable to race their way into the finale via preliminary action.
On Friday night NeSmith Crate Late Models and Street Stocks will also be a part of the program, while Saturday night will see Nesmith Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Streets, Street stocks as part of the program.
For this event only the series will also the Hoosier 1350 tires on all four corners of competitor's entries for the first time ever in an effort to make it feasible for more drivers to participate in the show, who don't normally race with the tour.

Defending series' champion, Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas continues to lead the series standings with Clay Fisher, Tommy Surrett, Brandon Smith, Shannon Scott, Rick Hearnsberger, Kody Mea, Lynn Beach, David Payne, and Jack Sullivan rounding out the current top ten.
The Rookie of the Year battle is led by Henryetta, Oklahoma's Shannon Scott, who is one point ahead of Rick Hearnsberger with Kody Mea and David Payne rounding out the battle.
