Boyd, Jr. Wins Bob Long Memorial, Gough Wins $1,000 In Limited Late Model Race #1

GIBSONTON — At East Bay Raceway on Saturday night, feature winners on the 1/3-mile clay oval were Forrest Gough winning the Limited Late Models, Sheldon Kinser, Jr for the Florida Mini Sprints, Billy Boyd, Jr. for the East Bay Sprints, Buck Woodhouse picked up both Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock features and George Handy winning the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.

In the 20-lap feature event for the Limited Late Models, it was $1,000 going to Forrest Gough winning race #1 in the 2 races between East Bay Raceway Park and Bubba Raceway Park. Race #2 will be held at BRP next Saturday night also paying $1,000 to win. Forrest lead the entire event with Tim Powers making a hard charge at the end finishing second with Dalton Myers third. Scotty Williams, Waylon Haynes and Gough won their heats.

In the 12-lap Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock Make-up feature it was Buck Woodhouse taking over the lead on lap three and not looking back. Terry Jones had a great run finishing second with David Barwick, II finishing third.

In the 15-lap Florida Mini Sprint feature it was Sheldon Kinser, Jr. picking up his second feature win of the season with Robby Hoffman challenging Kinser, Jr. lap after lap through lapped traffic. Hoffman finished second with Gavin Thomas third.

In the East Bay Sprint 20-lap feature Annual Bob Long Memorial, Guy Bos looked to pick up the win as he led the race holding off Billy Boyd, Jr. But on lap nineteen Bos slid up in turn three giving Boyd, Jr. the opportunity to take the lead. Boyd, Jr. won his second Bob Long Memorial with Guy Bos finishing second and Kerry Gilbert third.

In the second Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock feature it was Buck Woodhouse coming from the twelfth starting spot to make it back to back feature wins for the night. Trent Wilson finished second with Tommy Hill third.

In the 15-lap Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bomber feature it was George Handy taking over the lead on lap seven picking up his fourth feature win of the season. Finishing second was Patrick Fiore, Sr. and third going to James Paes.
