Ryan King and Rusty Ballenger continued their hot streak by once again starting on the front row. The race would take a scary turn as a stack up in turn two sent Justin Summers upside down, also collecting Gary Crittenden. After a lengthy red flag for cleanup the race went back to green. Ryan King and Rusty Ballenger would fight door to door for several laps but King took the point and began to pull away from his point rival. Bradley Lewelling flexed his muscle early on and moved into the top 5. The drive wouldn’t end well however as he pulled into the pit area. Up front King had built a big lead but he tangled with a slower car cutting his tire. With King in the pits, that handed the lead over to Ballenger. The green waved but action came to a stop on lap 18 as the rain set in. It wouldn’t let up and the race was called official.
