Dennis Erb, Jr. Claims Top Ten at Magnolia; $50k DTWC Up Next

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL (October 15) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team rolled into Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on October 10-11 for the annual running of the 'Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100.'  The unsanctioned mega-event drew a whopping 72 competitors to "The Mag" and all eyes were focused on the hefty $20,000 top prize.

Dennis posted the fourteenth quickest lap overall during Friday's qualifying session and later placed a close second in his loaded heat race behind only prelim winner Randy Weaver.  After starting the 100-lap headliner on Saturday evening from the outside of the sixth row, Dennis was able to move past three competitors during the distance en route to a solid ninth place showing.  Complete results from the 'Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100' weekend can be obtained by clicking on www.magnoliadirt.com.

Next up for Dennis Erb Racing will be a trip to the Buckeye State on October 17-18 for the final event of the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season.  The Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will once again play host to the 34th edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship.'  Qualifying and heat races will take place at PRP on Friday night, while the consolation events and the 100-lap main event are slated for Saturday evening.  As is the norm, a massive $50,000 payday will be on the line in the DTWC, while each feature starter will receive at least $2,000.

The television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand in south-central Ohio this weekend to tape all of the dirt-slinging action for broadcast on several networks later in the year.  Dennis finished eighth in last year's version of the 'Dirt Track World Championship' and comes into the LOLMDS finale ninth in the current point standings.  Additional information concerning the crown jewel extravaganza can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis would like to thank all of his sponsors including:  J.R.
