Southern All Stars & Cherokee Speedway Will Try Again Sunday March 29th For March Madness 13

FAYETTEVILLE, TN (March 24) - The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has been like everybody else in the racing business this year dodging rain, moving dates and trying to get the 2015 season underway.  The first big weekend for the series to open up got split into two separate weekends and now that weekend is here with the 13th Annual March Madness at the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC. Sunday afternoon March 29th the race will be a 60 lap green flag event paying $7,500 to the winner and $600 to start.

Drivers that are expected to be in action include three time Southern All Star champion and winner of the Bama Bash randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., defending and tow time Southern All Stars champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN., two time Southern All Star champion Chris Madden of Gray Court, SC., 2014 Southern All Star rookie of  the year Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN., 2015 Southern All Star rookie of the year candidate Dillon Tidmore of Glencoe, AL., Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, SC., Austin Kirkpatrick of Ocala, FL., Donald Bradsher of Burlington, NC., Chris Ferguson of Mt Holly, NC.,  and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA., along with many more drivers from across the southeast.

FAST FACTS

Race: The 13th Annual March Madness will be race #2 in the 2015 Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series schedule.  The 60 lap main event will pay $7,500 to win.

Procedure: The starting field is set for 24 cars, including provisionals. All cars will qualify for starting positions in 10 lap heat races, cars not transferring will run in B Mains to determine up to 22 starters with the final two spots for highest driver in the 2014 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Final points standings and the current 2015 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series points that have not made the event.

Tire Rule: Hoosier 1350, 1600, 21, 55, Lucas 03, 06, LM 30, 40, 70.
