MAGNOLIA, Texas (May 13) – A last minute decision to enter the Super Late Model event at 171 Speedway on Saturday evening turned into Tyler Erb's first win of 2015!
Tyler made the trek to 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana) for a $1,000-to-win, Weekly Racing Series Event at the facility in his First Class Septic #91 Rocket by 91inc/Kuntz & Co. Racing Engine Super Late Model. The evening proved to be a total success as he won his heat race from the pole, and then wired the field in the feature as led all 25 laps. Ray Moore finished in the runner-up position. The victory was his first of the 2015 campaign.
“We’ve had so many near-misses this year with random mechanical failures late in races,” commented the 18-year-old competitor from Magnolia, Texas. “Hopefully we’ve officially got the monkey off our back, and this is the first of many wins to come this year.”
