While the Baileigh Industrial Late Models took their pace lap, defending champion Mitch McGrath (Waukesha) was unable to make the call with motor issues. Glenbuelah's Tim Buhler rode the rim and shot into the lead and immediately stretched it out. Waukesha's Russ Scheffler rocketed around Taylor Scheffler into 2nd, and started to chase Buhler. Buhler set a torrid pace, lapping cars before the midway point, while Justin Schmidt moved in to battle Jim Schmidt for 5th. Scheffler gave it everything his mount had, but could not chase down Buhler, who cruised across for his first win of the season. Justin Schmidt picked up Hard Charger honors picking up 4 spots.
