Brandon Kinzer on Podium in Born Free 40 at Brownstown; Trip to Ponderosa Next

ALLEN, KY (July 8) - Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team invaded the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday evening, July 4 to help celebrate Independence Day with the inaugural running of the 'Born Free 40.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model special at the 1/4-mile bullring boasted a $5,000 winner's check.

Brandon laid down the third quickest lap overall (and in his group) during the qualifying session prior to nabbing a strong third place finish in his heat race. After starting the 40-lap main event from the inside of the fourth row, Brandon drove his #18 MB Customs mount to as high as second in the running order before eventually winding up third at the finish behind only winner Dustin Linville and runner-up Scott James. Kinzer Motorsports will now turn their focus to a trip to Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky this Friday evening, July 10 for the 15th Annual 'Hugh "Junebug" Rowland Memorial.' The unsanctioned 35-lap contest at the track deemed as "Kentucky's Baddest Bullring" will pay $3,000 to the winner.
