Brian Shirley Eleventh in Show-Me 100; Jason Riggs Returns to Action this Weekend

HARRISBURG, ILL (July 16) - After spending most of the last month on the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour, Brian Shirley ventured west on July 11-12 for two high-profile Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. On Saturday evening, the 'CMH Diamond Nationals' was held and a $10,000 payday was up for grabs. Brian ran fifth in his heat race prior to grabbing the second transfer spot through his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the tenth row in the 50-lapper, the Chatham, Illinois ace was the first retiree and was placed twenty-eighth in the final rundown.

At Wheatland on Sunday night, the completion of the 'Show-Me 100' took to the track and the crown jewel event, which was postponed by rain over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, once again paid $30,000 to the winner. Brian won a heat race back in May and started the 100-lap grind on Sunday from the outside of the second row. "Squirrel" eventually wound up eleventh in the 'Show-Me 100,' which was taped by the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast later in the year on several television networks. Complete results from both Wheatland throwdowns can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

With Brian opting to enjoy the July 17-18 weekend away from the racetrack, teammate Jason Riggs will be the lone Riggs Motorsports driver in competition. Jason plans to enter a pair of weekly Super Late Model shows in the states of Illinois and Kentucky this weekend. The Harrisburg, Illinois native will unload his #81jr machine at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday night and Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky on Saturday evening.

The Riggs Motorsports team would like to thank the following group of sponsors for their continued support: Clearwave Communications, Great Clips, Thomason Express, LLC, Cheap Cars, Peoples National Bank, Grand Rivers Community Bank, Kid's Castle Learning Center, Skateland South, Jayco Construction, Rocket Chassis, ShowHope.org, AFCO Racing Products, Aggressive Graphics, Allstar Performance, Awesome Racewear, Bass Livestock, Bell Helmets, COMP Cams, CPD Racing Tools, Crow Enterprizes, Dargie Racing Engines, Delph Communications, Dyer's Top Rods, Frankland Racing Supply, GW Performance, Hoosier Racing Tires, Indocil Art, Integra Shocks, Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, KBC Graphix, Keyser Manufacturing, MD3 Noses, Micro-Armor Lubricants, Midwest Sheet Metal, Motorstate Distributing, Performance Bodies, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), Peterson Fluid Systems, Pro Power Racing Engines, Quarter Master, QuickCar Racing Products, R2C Performance, Rod End Supply, Schaeffer's Racing Oil, Speedwerx, Stealth Carburetors, Sweet Mfg., Ted Brown's Quality Paint & Body Shop, The Joie of Seating, TurboStart Batteries, VP Racing Fuels, Waterman Racing Components, Wehrs Machine & Racing Products, Weld Wheels, Wick Racing Fuels, Wiles Driveshafts, and Wilwood Engineering.
