Billy Moyer Nabs Top Ten in Silver Dollar Nationals; Quincy and Fairbury Next

BATESVILLE, AR (July 23) - Billy Moyer and the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team converged on I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 17-18 for the fifth edition of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series co-sanctioned the mega-event, which drew sixty competitors to the racy 4/10-mile facility to vie for the whopping $32,000 top prize. On Friday night, Billy started the unique format by winning his first heat race prior to winding up third in his second and final prelim of the evening.

By virtue of racking up the eighth most passing points in heat race action on Friday, Billy locked himself into the outside of the fourth row for the start of Saturday's 80-lap headliner. "Mr. Smooth" then blasted up inside of the top three during the 'Silver Dollar Nationals' before settling for a tenth place effort. Full results from the weekend festivities at I-80 Speedway can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

The #21 BMR team will invade the Land of Lincoln on July 23-25 for two big World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdowns. Later tonight, Quincy Raceway in Quincy, Illinois will host their first-ever WOOLMS program - the 'Workforce 40,' which pays $8,000 to the winner. On Friday and Saturday, the 26th Annual 'Prairie Dirt Classic' will be held at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. Preliminary action will start at FALS on Friday evening, while Saturday's 100-lap PDC will boast a hefty $26,000 payday.

BMR would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: Henderson Motorsports, Garnant Family Farms, Bad Boy Mowers, McKee Auto/RV, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Car City, Clements Racing Engines, Karl Performance, Jack's CARQUEST, New Vision Graphics, Watters Autoland, Moyer Victory Chassis, Allstar Performance, AMSOIL, Arizona Sports Shirts, Bell Helmets, Bert Transmission, Beyea Headers, BSB Manufacturing, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, C&R Racing, Champ Pans, Deatherage Opticians, Delph Communications, Eibach Springs, FK Rod Ends, Fuel Safe Racing Cells, Hawk Brakes, Hoosier Racing Tire, Intercomp, ISC Racers Tape, JRI Shocks, Kluhsman Racing Components, Midwest Sheet Metal, MSD Ignition, Ohlins Shocks, Performance Bodies, Performance Rod & Custom, Peterson Fluid Systems, Rockhard Powder Coating, Stealth Carburetion, Sunoco Race Fuels, Sweet Mfg., TWM Manufacturing, and Wiles Racing Driveshafts.
