Dog Hollow Cranks It UP with $7,250 to Win for UFo Finale on Sept 24-25-26

MARS, PA (September 3) - Dog Hollow Speedway has released the details for the three day spectacular "ThunderDog Showdown" presented by G & R Excavating & Demolition of Tyrone, PA on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, September 24-25-26.   The "ThunderDog Showdown" will be a total late model phenomenon with four late model-type features and three late model classes in competition during the weekend.
 
The 2015 UFo "ThunderDog Showdown" will feature two complete UFo Super Late Model programs paying $7.250 total to win, $600 total for 24th and $275 total for non-qualifiers.   With two complete point races at one event, the UFo Championship will be on the line with Devin Friese, Dylan Yoder, Michael Altobelli, Jr. and Justin Kann all in the zone to claim the title.
 
UFo Super Late Models will race for $2,000 to win in the "Flying Floyd Kline Klassic" and $5,250 to win in the "ThunderDog 55."   Semi-Lates (steel block/limited/crate option) will race for $1,500 to win. Crate Late Models will compete for $1,800 to win in the "Ultimate Crate Challenge." Cadets (street stocks/pro-stocks) will race for $800 to win. Hobby/Pure Stocks will pay $600 to win and Roadrunner 4-Cylinders will compete for $350 to win.
 
The weekend will kick off of Thursday, September 24 with a "Track Test." This night will allow all competitors open practice on the 3/8 mile supertrack to set their cars up for the weekend.
 
On Friday, September 24, the "Flyin' Floyd Kline Klassic" will feature the UFo Super Late Models in a full racing program with a 36 lap feature paying $2,000 to the winner. Floyd was the inaugural winner of the "Fall Fest" event held at the Challenger Raceway, so it is fitting that his tribute race be part of this new Indiana County fall event. The Semi-Lates, Cadets, Hobby/Pure Stocks and Roadrunner/4-Cylinders will compete in their qualifying heat races.   As an added bonus, the Cyclone Mini-Cup Late Models will also run a full racing program on Friday night.
 
On Saturday, September 25, the "ThunderDog 55" will feature the UFo Super Late Models in another full racing program with $5,250 going to the winner of the 55 lap championship finale for the circuit. The Semi-Lates, Crate Late Models, Cadets, Hobby/Pure Stocks and Roadrunner 4-Cylinders will all race in their consolation and super championship feature events.
 
UFo rules will apply for the Super Late Models.   This event will use an open compound tire rule with a 16 ¾" cross section and 93" circumference limit for the Super Late Model cars.
