Ray Cook Lands in Top Ten of Ultimate Super Late Model Series Lid Lifter
 
BRASSTOWN, NC (March 8) - Ray Cook and his #53 team traveled to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Saturday evening, March 5 for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series season opener. A strong field of 35 competitors converged on the 1/3-mile clay oval and a $4,000 top prize was up for grabs.
 
Ray laid down the seventh fastest lap during the qualifying session, which locked him into the inside of the fourth row for the start of the 40-lap main event. The Brasstown, North Carolina star then ran amongst the top ten throughout the headliner, eventually finishing right where he started... in the seventh position. With several Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals Bonus Series events to officiate in upcoming weeks, Ray is not scheduled to be back behind the wheel of his Ray Cook Racing #53 Capital racecar until Friday night, April 1 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will roll into the Chattanooga-area venue on April Fool's Day to preside over a $10,000 to win shootout.
