Deery Brothers Summer Series Rebel 5K cancelled at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (April 7, 2016) – The Davenport Speedway has cancelled the REBEL 5K, scheduled for this Friday, April 8th. The event would have featured the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models.

The unseasonably cold temperatures forecast for tomorrow are to blame for the cancellation.

The high speed excitement moves over to the Davenport Speedway half-mile track on Friday, April 15th, for the 3rd Annual Midwest Sanction Showdown. The event marks the return of the MARS DirtCar Series and is co-sanctioned by the Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series. The open late models will be joined by the Modifieds and Street Stocks.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates will open at 4:30pm, grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:00, and racing at 6:30pm.
