Jimmy Elliott Captures First Win of 2016 with 411 Triumph

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (May 24) – For the first time in 2016 Jimmy Elliott parked his Car Smart Auto Sales #J39 Elliott’s Tire Center/ Longhorn Race Car in victory with a Crate Late Model triumph at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday evening.

“Our team really needed to get this first win under our belt this season,” said Elliott. “From mechanical issues to struggling to find the handle, this year has been a challenge so far, but hopefully this shows that we are finally headed in the right direction.”

On Saturday night Jimmy Elliott traveled to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee), where he competed in the Crate Late Model division. Posting the fastest time in a field of 15 entries, Elliot earned the pole position starting spot for the feature. Jumping into the lead on the very first lap, Jimmy cruised to his first victory of the season with Jason Cardwell, Ross White, Josh Henry, and Justin Summer trailing him to the checkered flag.

The Memorial Day weekend will see Elliott in action in a couple of events. On Saturday night he will likely compete in a Weekly Racing Series Event at 411 Motor Speedway as he looks for more track time in preparation for the upcoming NeSmith National Late Model Series events at the facility.
Monday evening will take him to Ray Cook’s Tri County Race Track (Brasstown, North Carolina) to battle for an $800 top prize.
