Tuesday Night's Event at I-80 Speedway Canceled

GREENWOOD, NE (May 24) - Tuesday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned, GO 50 at I-80 Speedway has been canceled. With the forecast for continued rain on an already heavily saturated track and facility, Speedway and Series officials have been forced to cancel the event.

Anyone who purchased advanced tickets to the GO 50 can receive a refund, or may use their ticket towards the Friday night portion (July 22nd) of the Silver Dollar Nationals. Speedway officials will contact ticket purchasers individually in the week ahead.

Up next for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is the 24th Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 - Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The action begins Thursday, May 26th with the 3rd Annual Cowboy Classic - featuring a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 40-lap, $6,000-to-win main event.

The action on Friday, May 27th will pay tribute to Don and Billie Gibson, former promoters of West Plains Motor Speedway and founders of the Show-Me 100. The activities will include a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 40-lap, $6,000-to-win main event. Drivers will earn points in each of the two preliminary nights that will determine the line-ups for Saturday night's finale.

The USRA Modifieds will be featured as the support class each night. Their activities on Thursday and Friday, May 26th-27th will feature a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 20-lap, $500-to-win main event each night.

On Saturday night, consolation events for the LOLMDS and the USRA Modifieds will be held, plus the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge. The top-24 drivers that did not transfer into the Show-Me 100 (via preliminary events) will be eligible to start the $2,500 to win, non-qualifiers race - held prior to the Show-Me 100 main event. The winner of the 20-lap, Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge has the choice of keeping their $2,500 winnings, or forfeiting their earnings to start last in the main event. The Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 main event will follow the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge on Saturday night. The USRA Modifieds will cap off the weekend action with their $1,000-to-win main event.
