Eric Cooley Masters the Mag for First Victory of 2016

FULTON, MS (June 1) – Eric Cooley piloted his Bryson Motorsports #33b Eric Cooley Trucking/Barry Wright Super Late Model to his first win of the season on Sunday evening at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Taking part in the three-day Memorial Day weekend, Eric Cooley visited Moulton Motor Speedway (Danville, Alabama) on Friday night, competing in the $2,000-to-win Super Late Model event. Bringing home a podium finish, Cooley notched a 2nd-place finish in the feature behind race winner, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth.

The following night brought Eric to North Mississippi Motor Park (Corinth, Mississippi) to do battle against a stout field of 24-entries. Parking his Cooley Transport #33B Super Late Model in the Top-5 once again in the A-Main, Eric Cooley posted a 3rd-place finish behind race winner, Bo Shirley and Tanner English with Bub McCool and Shane Stephens rounding out the top five.

Wrapping up the busy weekend, Cooley stopped at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Sunday night, competing in the Super Late Model division. In a field of 17-cars, Cooley earned the pole position spot for the feature via his qualifying effort. Capturing his first win of the season, Eric Cooley cruised to the A-Main triumph with Jamie Tollison, Shay Knight, Buddy George, and Jason Brock trailing him to the checkers.

“Between bad weather and busy work schedule, we haven’t had much of a chance to race this year, so it feels good to get the first win,” said Cooley. “Hopefully we’ll be hitting more events over the next month or so.”
