Chris Ferguson Captures First-Career Schaeffer's Southern Nationals Victory

SYLVANIA, Ga. - July 23, 2016 -Chris Ferguson of Mt. Holly, N.C. took the lead away from Brent Dixon and Dennis Franklin to lead the remaining 18 laps en route to his first-career Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series victory Saturday Night at Screven Motor Speedway during the Annual Rebel Yell event.

Ferguson drove the Champion Spark Plugs-sponsored, Clements Racing Engine-powered Rocket Chassis to the $5,300 payday. Ferguson became the fifth different winner in five races so far on the tour.

The series will return to action Sunday July 24th at the Rome Speedway in Rome, Ga. for Round # 6 paying $5,300-to-win. Devin Gilpin has a slim 10-point margin over Shanon Buckingham to start the second-half of the series schedule.

Shanon Buckingham takes Tri-County Victory, Devin Gilpin to Series Points Lead

BRASSTOWN, N.C. - July 21, 2016 - Shanon Buckingham led flag-to-flag on Thursday Night to claim his first-career Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series victory at the Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C. Buckingham also became the 31st different winner in series history.

Buckingham drove the Double Down Motorsports, Tennessee RV Sales & Service Super Center, Grand Design, Smoky Mountain Speedway, FK Rod Ends, Hard Rock Café and Maxima Oils-sponsored Cornett-powered Longhorn Chassis to the $3,500 payday.

With Devin Gilpin's fourth place finish, he now takes over the points with just four markers over Shanon Buckingham.

The series will return to action Friday Night July 22nd at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Ga. for Round # 4 paying $5,300-to-win.
