LEBANON, Ore. (July 4) - Defending DIRTcar Northwest I-5 Late Model Series champion Rob Mayea scored the $1,500 main event win on Saturday night at Willamette Speedway. The Bend, OR driver started seventh in the 30 lapper and went on to secure his first Series win of the season. The event was the second of three races scheduled for the July 4th Holiday weekend. Cody Sell of Brownsville, OR finished second followed by John Duty of Happy Valley, OR, John Campos of Kaizer, OR and Mike Miller of Springfield, OR rounding out the top five finishers.
Brian Cronk of Portland, OR; Cody Sell, Jeremy Shank of Salem, OR; and John Duty were heat race winners and Bob Boyd of Albany, OR won the B-main event. Current Series point leader Shank finished 18th.
The Series moves on to Cottage Grove Speedway on Sunday night for round three of the Holiday tripleheader for the Series.
