SOUTH PARK, Penn. (April 24) - The 2007 Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway Champion Jared Miley and Jared Miley Racing made their first appearance of 2008 at Don Martin's Lernerville Speedway on Tuesday, April 15th for the $10,000 to win, World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoO) sanctioned 'Showdown at Sarvertown' and returned to the Sarver, PA oval for the regular season opener on Friday, April 18th.
Miley finished an uncharacteristic ninth in his heat race during his 2008 debut with not only the 'Outlaws' but also at the 'Action Track'. Being as Jared would have to start at the back of the one of the two B-Main's, the JMR Team decided it was best to stay pit side to not tear up the car as they still have the whole 2008 season ahead of them. The following Friday at Lernerville, Miley would start the feature event in the tenth position and fight his was through the field for a solid fifth place finish behind the likes of race winner Lynn Geisler, defending Lernerville Champion Alex Ferree, former Lernerville Champion Gary Lyle, and Alan Dellinger driving the familiar red #5 normally drove by Mike Blose.
This weekend Jared will be back in action at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, April 25th and Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 26th after two straight weeks of inclement weather. On Sunday the team will once again attempt to get the first round of the Unified Force Race Championship Tour in at Challenger Raceway in Jacksonville, PA. The UFO event will pay $5,000 to the victor.
