Brushcreek Motorsports Complex
PEEBLES, Ohio (May 8) - After suffering the disappointment of having opening night festivities canceled at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex for two weeks anxious fans finally heard the thunder of race engines roaring through the valley 3 miles south of Peebles, Ohio on Saturday May 8th.

As the unseasonably cool afternoon faded into night, action heated up on the high banks of the 1/3 mile speed plant. Batavia, Ohio's Josh Tidwell stormed to the opening night late model feature win. In a three wide battle at the line Marrietta, Ohio's Mark Dickson took the season opening modified feature by a nose to claim the $750 prize. Bainbridge, Ohio's Rex Smith Jr. charged to the crazy compact feature win. Peebles, Ohio's Dave Jamison blitzed the legend field to pick up the opening night feature win while Sardinia, Ohio's Mark Keatzel took the bomber feature win and Peebles Ohio's Rusty Hawes took the endure win.

Jerry Bowersock and Mike Myers brought the late model feature field to the green. Bowersock jumped out to the early lead but the action was quickly slowed when Myers went around coming out of turn two. With no laps in the field was lined up for a complete restart. On the restart, Bowersock once again jumped out to the early lead but the action was stopped when the 97 of Darren Kattine came to a stop after hitting the wall coming out of turn four before the first lap was complete.

Once Kattine's car was removed from the raceway, the field was realigned for another complete restart. At the drop of the green flag Josh Tidewell shot to the lead with Bowersock in tow. A lap two caution flew when Shane Newman spun in turn two.

On the restart, Tidewell pulled to a couple car lengths lead over Bowersock. However, the action was quickly slowed when the 4 of Paul Moore went around in turn two. Once again Tidewell would pull out to a comfortable lead over Bowersock on the restart. Over the final laps, Tidwell cruised to the season opening late model feature.
