BARDSTOWN, Ky. (May 29) - Bluegrass Speedway presented the 7th Annual Jerry Rucker Memorial on Saturday evening and Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY would pick up his second win of the season and second win in this event to collect the $2,000 payday. It would be a night of seconds as other feature event winners for the evening included Shane Lafollette of Hodgenville, KY winning his second UMP Street Stock feature of the season, Benji Lee of Loretto, KY winning his second UMP Modified feature of the year, and Barry Chesser of Bloomfield, KY winning his second WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman feature of the 2010 season.

Dustin Neat and Justin Rattliff would bring the 30 lap, $2,000 to win Jerry Rucker Memorial event to the green flag, with Neat jumping to the race lead, followed by Rattliff, Aaron Hatton, Johnny Wheeler, and Jeff Watson. Lee Devasier would scoot past Watson on lap 2 as Neat and Rattliff would set a torrid pace at the point. By lap 5, Neat would put some distance between himself and Rattliff as Devasier and Watson battled door-to-door for the five spot. Lap 7 would see Watson take the fifth position while Neat began working traffic one trip later. By lap 12, Neat would be battling more traffic and Rattliff would begin to reel the race leader. Rattliff would close up on Neat by lap 14 as the lead duo battled for the top spot, they would see the halfway signal side-by-side in traffic in a too close to call battle for the lead. However, Neat would traffic as a pick one circuit later to put some distance between himself and Rattliff for the lead. Fourth place Wheeler would start to flex some muscle by lap 20 as he began to pressure Hatton for third. The action would maintain itself until the leaders caught more traffic on lap 26 with Neat feeling pressure from Rattliff while Wheeler would move past Hatton for third on lap 28. Neat would again use traffic for a pick as the field came to the white flag, with Hatton contacting the wall in turn three, allowing Watson to go the fourth. Neat would take the win in his Red Buck Cigars/Neat Service Center/NWN Distributing/D&R Livestock/Barnett Construction/Southern Kentucky Monument sponsored #25 MasterSbilt Race Car, Estes Race Engines powered mount. Rattliff, Wheeler, and Watson would go second through fourth, while Lee Devasier completed the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Tim Tungate, David Webb, Michael Chilton, Hatton, and Jarryd Holshouser. Mike Jewell would be the top qualifier among 19 entries at 15.968, while Neat also won the dash. Heat race wins fell to Holshouser and Chilton.

The 12 lap UMP Street Stock feature would turn into a two car battle between Shane Lafollette and Timmy Glazer, as these two drivers have dominated the UMP Street Stock division at Bluegrass Speedway this season. The battle on this night would have Lafollette out in front and repeatedly challenged by Glazer, but it would be Lafollette picking up the win in the David Copley owned Advance Auto Parts/Larue Insurance/ Geneva's Florist/K&K Flower Shop/Select Designs/Rock's Tobacco/Henry Miller #1 U.K. Fan sponsored #63 Ford Thunderbird. Glazer would take second, with Joe Walker, Bobby Settles, and Roy Skaggs completing the top five. Glazer would be the top qualifier among 6 entries at 20.077 seconds and also win the dash.

In a caution filled 20 lap UMP Modified that started with a turn one melee on the start that eliminated four drivers, Benji Lee and Jason Wheatley would battle throughout the green flags before Lee would pull away a bit from Wheatley in the final six laps of the event to grab his 33rd career Bluegrass Speedway Modified feature event win. Lee's #03 mount receives sponsorship from Thompson Heat and Air/St. Joe Garage/Smart Shoppers/On Time Courier/On Time Construction/Springfield Auto and Farm/Kirker Automotive Finishes/VFM Manufacturing and is a Bandit Race Car, powered by a Dale Meers Race Engine. Wheatley would take runner-up honors, with Elliott Despain driving to third place effort. Joe David Turner and Randy Turpin would complete the top five. Rounding out the top ten would be Adam Cole, Brad Schlosser, George Hertter, Todd Noel, and Jeff Stith. Nineteen entries would see heat race checkered flags go to Michael England and Lee.

Barry Chesser would be the dominant driver in the WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman division as he would lead all 15 laps of this division's main event to collect the checkered flag in the seat of his Buzick Construction/44 Auto Mart/Lewis Auto Salvage sponsored #75 Buick Regal. Avral Thompson would win a race-long battle with Billy Meredith for the runner-up position, while Robbie Settles and Wayne Hager would round out the top five. Chesser would also win the heat.
