PLYMOUTH, Wisc. (August 21) - Fan Appreciation Night saw the grandstands filled with fans and lots of action on the track. Lance Fassbender (Burnett) won the Sprint car Feature after taking the lead early. Craig Schueffner (Sheboygan Falls) lead the way in the Late Model Feature.
Defending Late Model track champion Schueffner took the lead at the drop of the green. Behind the leader Bob Cullen (Chilton) and Charlie Schmidt (Oostburg) ran very close with points leader Rick Scheffler (Waukesha) coming fast from the third row.
Brad Mueller (Random Lake) stayed with the front-runners and Tim Buhler (Glenbuelah) after starting in the fifth row worked his way forward at the same time.
Schueffner was challenged by Scheffler after a restart with three laps remaining when Scheffler went high off turn four and pulled along side Schueffner but couldn't complete the pass and settled for second ahead of Cullen, Buhler and Bill Rezutek (Big Bend).
