Mike Miller of Springfield seized the lead on the opening lap to pace the field and came under constant pressure from challengers. Lapped traffic played a major part in the race as only on caution occurred during the duration. Miller would do well on the restart to lead the rest of the distance of the feature to win his second race of the year.
A marvelous spectacle was on hand for second place as Mark Carrell of Redmond and Tangent's Trevor Glaser battled one another. Carrell would finish in second at the line over Glaser with fourth place going to Happy Valley driver John Duty and Rick Wyatt of Salem finished in fifth. Fast time of the night was Carrell at 12.878 seconds and heat race winners were Carrell, Mike Miller, and Glaser.
