RINGGOLD, Ga. (March 25) - The RINGGOLD KID Jamie Perry (1999 S.A.S Champion) of Ringgold, Georgia plowed the Steel-Head Late Model field, that included a heavy barrage of All-Star SLM racers, Friday night at Boyd's Speedway on the Tennessee/Georgia boarder. Taking the lead from veteran Lamar Scoggins, Perry pocketed the nights $1,000 payday for his first visit to victory lane in 2011. The #P4 "Stealth Racing Carburator, Heatherly Bros Roofing & Construction, Hamilton Outdoor Sports Shop, Anderson Bros., Ringgold Service Center, Outlaw Graphics" sponsored GRT / Chuck Smith (Racetek) racer worked past Scoggins after the first handful of laps and continued throughout the remainder of the 25 lapper playing a high-speed game of chess with back-marker traffic.

"We struck gold last season, with this team, Rodney (Elliott) and the crew put a great racecar under me every time we compete." stated Perry Saturday. The two-time Cleveland Speedway Track Champion, now holds Boyd's points lead for their top class, with Friday being the Points Opener. Perry continued by thanking car-owner Billy Fryar, his dad (Cotton Perry) and Chance and Shon for working so diligently at and away from the track. Perry won his heat race Friday evening, earning the outside FRONT ROW JOE starting position. Behind Perry and Scoggins at the finish were; Billy Ogle Jr., Tony Martin and Mike Price. Other competitors within the division such as Anthony White, Jake Knowles and Rick Hixson were all likely getting seat time for next weeks S.R.R.S event coming to Boyd's.
