GREENVILLE, Miss. (May 10) - The O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models made their first ever trip to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi, and at the end of the weekend, Ray Moore and Jeff Taylor went down in the record books as inaugural winners.

On Friday night, 25 Super Late Models signed in to do battle around the ¼ mile Greenville Speedway. After accumulating the most passing points in his heat race, Jeff Taylor earned the JFR Graphics Pole Qualifier Award. Throughout the course of the event, the top spot would see four different drivers trying to stake their claim as Taylor, Joey Mack, Dusty Johnston, and Ray Moore all took turns at the helm. At appeared late in the race that Moore was on his way to victory lane before a lapped car caused him to spin off the end of the track, relinquishing the lead to Taylor. Taylor would go on to take the win with Johnston, Mack, Moore (who charged from the back to a 4th place finish in 10 laps), and Jeff Chandler rounding out the top five. Jeff Floyd won the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after coming from the last position to a 6th place finish in his backup car after an engine expired in his heat race. Bo Gordon received the Weld Racing Wheels Forge Ahead Hard Luck Award after he flipped out of the track, while running in the 5th position.

On Saturday night, the O'Reilly MSRA prepared for their second event under very threatening skies. Twenty-nine Super Late Models signed in for the event, and it was Joey Mack, who earned the JFR Graphics Pole Qualifier Award. Mack would lead early in the feature before Ray Moore slipped by to take a lead that he would never relinquish. Allen Tippin, Joey Mack, Dusty Johnston, and Kyle Beard rounded out the top five finishers. Jeff Sloan from Missouri received the Weld Racing Wheels Forge Ahead Hard Luck Award after battling fuel problems all weekend. Kyle Beard received the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award. Kyle started 18th and finish 5th, but the real story was the fact that he had to go to the back of the pack twice during cautions due to heading pitside trying to cool his engine down and steal managed to advance 13 positions.

Overall, it was a great weekend of racing at Greenville Speedway with a smooth racing surface and to quote the track owner, "some of the best racing I have ever seen at Greenville".

Next on tap for the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models will be a trip to southwest Arkansas. On Friday, May 16th the travelers will invade 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win/$300 to start event. On Saturday May 17th, the action shifts to Arkansas Motor Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win/$400 to start event. For more information, please visit www.MSRADirt.com .
