Michael Despain JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (October 2) - Ponderosa Speedway would present the 20th anniversary edition of the Fall Classic for the National All Star Racing Association and Eric Wells of Hazard, KY would put name in the record books as the winner of the event and pick up a $5,000 payday. Michael England of Glasgow, KY would take the $1,000 to win Clayton Homes UMP Modified main event, while Wayne Hager of Nicholasville, KY would take $2,500 in winning the Hensley Ag Center Outlaw Sportsman special. Glen Hounshell, Jr. of Berea, KY would win the Street Stock feature and James Burton of Burnside, KY would win the Front Wheel Drive feature. Rain just shortly after Super Late Model time trials would delay the start of action by nearly two hours.

The NASRA 20th Annual Fall Classic would feature a very entertaining battle for the lead late in the race between second-generation racers Victor Lee and Mike Marlar as the duo would over every inch of the racing surface from around the midpoint of the race until lap 30 when Lee would make contact with the slower car of Christian Rayburn getting into turn three and get involved in the tangle, while second place running Mike Marlar would slide into the fray as well. Lee would be sent to the rear of the field for turning the slower and Marlar would be sent to the rear of the field for stopping on the track. This turn of events would hand the lead over to Eric Wells and Wells would drive away on the final restart of the event to claim the $5,000 victory in the David Wells owned Cox Wrecker Service/Tim Short Automotive/Expressions Floral and Gifts/ Convenient Lube/Rockfork Resources/American Race Tires sponsored #18 Rocket Chassis/Custom Race Engines powered machine. Dustin Neat would finish second, followed by Greg Johnson in third, while Justin Rattliff and 14th starting David Webb would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten were Joey Daniel, Aaron Ridley, Marty O'Neal, Victor Lee, and Brandon Hardgrove. In preliminary action, Mike Marlar would be the top qualifier among 30 entries. Mike Marlar would win Wayne Bowen Racing Supply heat one, Eric Wells would win Budda Bert Transmission Sales and Service heat two, Victor Lee would win Arizona Sport Shirts heat three, and Joey Daniel would win Cruise with the Champions heat four. Randy Robbins won the Double H Race Fabrication B-Main, while Arnie Fields and Bobby Wolter, Jr. were series provisionals, with Doodle Farris earning the track provisional.

Michael England would be the dominant force in the Clayton Homes UMP Modified main event in the seat of a different race car than he drove the night before and would put that machine in victory lane. England would drive the Rocky Wilson owned Willard's Heating and Cooling/Brooks Fencing/Bivens Farms/Snap On Tools sponsored #67 Bandit Race Car, Dale Meers Race Engine powered mount to the win. Josh Lucas would finish second after battling with England late in the feature event, with Josh Eads taking third. Clint Demoss and J.T. Ayers would complete the top five. Rounding out the top ten were Tommy Gregory, Russ Gabbert, Benji Lee, Randy Turpin, and Shon Flanary. Heat race wins fell to Eads, England, and Demoss.
The Hensley Ag Center Outlaw Sportsman special would feature three different leaders and the final lead change took place on lap 17 when Wayne Hager would take the top spot and drive on to the $2,500 payday in the David Murphy owned Touch of Style Hair Design/Prime Time Karoke and Limo/Hensley Farm and Diesel/Modern HVAC/Eddie Carrier, Sr./Grover Motorsports sponsored #07. Donnie Sullivan, John Cole, Stacey Decker, and Richard Mitchell would round out the rest of the top five. Completing the top ten would be Scott Hutchinson, David Mansfield, Chad Brigdon, Anthony Wiseman, and Billy Meredith. Heat wins were taken by Hager and Meredith.
The Street Stock feature event would fall to Glen Hounshell, Jr. in the Daniel Howard owned TR Engines sponsored #30 mount. Hounshell, Jr. would get the win over Karen King and Johnny King.
James Burton would outdistance Doug Radford to claim the Front Wheel Drive feature win aboard the Angel Burton owned Complete Auto Repair/D&M Muffler/Darlene's Variety/Lake Cumberland Speedway sponsored #1 unit. Radford would finish second, followed by Johnnie Adams, Michael Coleman, and T.J. Preston.
