WINONA, Miss. (July 2) - David Breazeale from Four Corners, Mississippi powered his #54 Henderson Motorsports Mastersbilt to his third PRO Dirt Car Series Super Late Model win of the 2010 season on Friday night at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi in Round #2 of the Four Crown Nationals.

Thirty-one Super Late Models converged on the 1/3 mile, Central Mississippi Speedway on Friday night for the second round of the Four Crown Nationals, which is being co-sanctioned by the PRO Dirt Car Super Late Model Series and the Nesmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model Series.

In Southern Belle Pole Qualifying it was déjà vu as Bub McCool blazed to the fast time with Kyle Beard joining him on the front row for the 40 lap feature after setting fast time in his own group. As the race went green, Beard jumped to the lead with McCool, third starting Breazeale, and Dean Carpenter in pursuit. Just one lap would be completed before the caution flag flew for Ray Moore, who made solid contact with an infield tire in turn two. Moore would keep rolling, but the caution would fly as several cars checked up to avoid him, and as a result Moore would be credited with the caution and sent to the tail of the field with heavy body damage.

On the ensuing restart, Beard would find himself under fire from McCool and Breazeale for the top spot as the second and third place runners began to stage a furious battle for the runner-up spot.

Lap 4 would see back-to-back cautions wave as first debris in turn one drew the yellow flag, and then on the next restart, Bo Gordon would get spun in turns three and four bringing his night to a disappointing early end.

The third attempt to vacate lap 4 would be successful as Beard maintained a narrow advantage with McCool and Breazeale swapping the second spot on almost a lap-by-lap basis. The race would begin to endure a long green flag run and by lap 11 the leaders were entering heavy lapped traffic as Breazeale moved to second and set his sights on the leader. Exiting turn four on the fourteenth circuit, Breazeale would utilize a lap car to work his way past Beard for the lead.

The next several laps would go caution free until lap 30, when the yellow was displayed for Mark Dodson, who spun in turn three. The field lined up for a ten lap dash to the checkers with Breazeale, Beard, McCool, Carpenter, and Klint Byars making up the running order in the top five. As the race restarted for the final time, Breazeale drove away from the pack in the final laps and claimed the $2,000 payday over Kyle Beard, Bub McCool, Dean Carpenter, and Jeff White.

Round #3 of the Four Crown Nationals will be held on Saturday, July 3rd at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi before the finale is held on Sunday, July 4th at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.
