SAS Media
CLINTON, Tenn. (December 30) - The Southern Allstars Dirt Late Model Series has named former Tennessee Thunder DirtCar Series Director Brad Byrd as it's new Series Director for 2010.

"We have worked closely with Brad for the past five years through our partnership with Tennessee Thunder and feel his knowledge and experience in Marketing and Promoting will help to elevate the Southern Allstars to a new level. Kelley Carlton will remain as Race Director along with Rusty Carlton as Lead Tech Official and the crew will all remain in tact. This will give us the best of both worlds as we work toward giving our driver's, promoters, sponsors and especially our fans what they've come to expect from America's longest running dirt late model touring series" stated Southern All-Stars President Charles Roberts.

"With the history and tradition that the Southern Allstars brings to the table and with a veteran crew and a solid financial foundation to work with, I am very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to talking to promoters, drivers and sponsors in the coming weeks and months" sated Byrd, who will also serve as Series Announcer alongside Travis Scott who served as Series Announcer this past season.

Among many things, a new revamped website is currently in the works. Several announcements with regards to schedule, promotions and sponsorships are expected to come in the next few weeks.

The new offices of the Southern Allstars will now operate out of Clinton, Tennessee. Brad Byrd can be reached at the Series office at (865) 457-9767 or by cell phone at (865) 919-5550. His temporary e-mail address is bbyrd7@hotmail.com
