1-800 LoanMart Street Stock Turkey Bowl Purse Jumps to $22,500.00!

(Perris, CA, June 26, 2012)  Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian announced a hefty increase to the purse for the inaugural "1-800LoanMart Street Stock Turkey Bowl" on November 23rd and 24th.  The original purse was $15,000.00, but it has now been bumped up to $22,500.00.  The race is expected to draw entries from drivers around the nation and will include NASCAR Sprint Cup regular David Gilliland.

"The purse is up to $22,500.00 thanks to 1-800-LoanMart," Kazarian said with a smile.  "The $15,000.00 purse was grabbing lots of attention, but at last Saturday's race at The PAS, Colby Estes from 1-800LoanMart said they wanted to add more money.  They upped it by 50%!  I think it is the largest ever purse for a dirt track Street Stock race in the state of California.  This is going to be a huge event."

"The people from 1-800LoanMart are real racers," Kazarian continued.  "They have not only created a buzz in the pits and grandstands at The PAS, but all around the western United States.  We want to thank them for all they are doing to create the best Street Stock racing on the West Coast."

In addition to the Turkey Bowl, the track already plays host to the "1-800LoanMart Challenge for the Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stocks."  That series pays a large purse at each of its four races.   The final two races of the series will take place on the famous Riverside County Clay oval on September 1st and 22nd.  A $5,000.00 point fund awaits the top three drivers when it is all over.  

"The rules, full payout and race format will all be available on The PAS website and another site within the next few days," Kazarian said.  "We hope to see drivers from all over the western half of the United States competing at this epic race."

This is such great news makes me wanna build a car for 1 race! I hope this make all the classes grow but with a purse like that why would you want to race any other class? I guess we need to find some sponsorship for our class and others as well! Keep us posted Scott!

are the "new" rules the rules or are they the rules including the "regular" weekly car specific rules? for instance the weekly rules state 8 in. tire with NO MUD AND SNOW  in bold letters and these rules state 8 in. tire? with this kind of money these questions might get important.
