there was a shooting at Taft highschool today,,, with a shotgun,, I woner if they will want to ban shotguns next?

The TAFT Shooter was taken alive - so maybe someone can get a look into his head and mindset, and see why, and what made him Snap to the level of bringing a gun to school to settle his issues.

At a race track, a guy will fight a guy he's pissed off at..well a guy who is a FIGHTER, or thinks he's tough... but, take a guy at race track who is a young skinny kid, or maybe a girl - chances are they aren't gonna go start a fight w/ the big BULLY - so what extremes are THEY gonna take when then get pushed around on the track?  

A bullied kid will take so much before he looks for an extreme that will equalize the situation - if not a GUN, a Car or something that will do the job...

remember that kid in Santa Barbara 10-11 years ago - the one who KILLED a bunch of other kids w/ his CAR by just driving through them on a sidewalk??  

Kids are Mad/Angry these days..and sadly have NO respect for LIFE - there's or anybody elses...  

I am NOT an advocate for banning GUNS of Any kind - but WE as a society need to realize the fact that MANY MANY people don't have the respect for others, in ANY way...nor the respect for LIFE.  Until that changes - we can BAN EVERY type of weapon - and the creative angry person will FIND A WAY - and IMHO - the death toll will RISE if these kids start making BOMBS instead of Shooting people .

Another High School shooting?  When are we going to wake up?  Obviously we need to ban high schools

We are desensitizing our younger generations by the video games and block buster action movies we are providing them, they are motivated by their Kill Rate and mayhem they achieve in front of a video screen. Pornography is prohibited from any one 17 and younger because it is unhealthy for a child digest and make proper choices at that age ,  but yet they have video games that are basically training tapes on how to stalk, kill  and destroy ,it is just an acceptable perversion
With this type of training and violent role models they movies portray you have to expect some part of that population to act out and practice what information and ethics we have provide them to solve their immediate problems
I was raised in an era where you punched it out because that is what John Wayne, Steve McQueen or Billy Jack showed me how to deal with my problems, kids now days are sharp shooters and ninjas they are trained to slaughter masses of people in their homes while their mom is making their dinner
The problem is our new culture not the tools they use to act out their aggressions

Video game problem! Definitely not a parenting problem. Haha

Right on Duane, I dont care who does not agree, I have said and will continue to say exactly what you said, and it all gets back to family values and parential overseeing of what kids are watching and doing, and if you dont know what you kids are doing when the sun goes down then too me parents are not doing their job.  My own Granddaughter does not like the fact that we do have controls, she is not 18 yet and I told her if she does not like the rules in this home, then maybe I can get her a home in the foster care system, that usually quiets her rants and ravings....We try but we are not model guardians...

I guess we can all take pot shots at what the problem is untill it hits home and we get caught up in a tragedy like has been happening, so guess it is time for me jus too keep my yap shut and not expond on what is wrong with our fellow beings here.  Hope this never happens to you or a family member or a close friend, then maybe it wont be so funny to create writings because somebody has expressed an idea you dont like, and again this is our right to express ourselves so far that has not been taken away from us...  Again this is my last comment on here about any problems facing our world, country or state or local government, generation past and present....JMOO...Don
