When you run a recirculating tank rather just an overflow how much coolant do you put in the tank?

I don't put any in it. Make sure the radiator is completely full. It should return the coolant that ends up in the tank when it's hot, when it cools down.

i would think most all recovery or overflows would want some water in them, if for no other reason then to keep air from being draw into the system. jmo
