Perris Auto Speedway announces El Nino Winter Challenge Series

PERRIS, CA (November 6) - Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian has announced that pending the fairboard racetrack committee’s approval, the track will host the “El Nino Winter Challenge Series.”  Details of the series are as follows:

"EL NINO WINTER CHALLENGE SERIES"

The Perris Auto Speedway will be hosting a five race Winter Series for Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Modifieds. All cars that meet the rules of the PASSCAR Series, Bakersfield Speedway, Santa Maria Raceway, Ventura Raceway and Barona Speedway in these Divisions are eligible to compete in the series. Modifieds must meet the IMCA Modified rules.

The Event Dates are as follows; December 12, 2015, January 9, 2016, January 23, 2015, February 6, 2016 and February 20, 2016.

All Heat Races will be lined up according to the Pill Draw. All Main Events will be inverted based on the Wheel Spin of the first Heat Race winner.

There will be NO Entry Fee or Pill Draw Fee.

All Pit Passes are $50.00.

The top twenty in each Division will paid out of a Championship Fund at the conclusion of the Series. The payout will be based on Car Count as per the Event Purse below.

There will be Series Championship Trophies for the top Three in each Division. There will be no event specific trophies.

The Pits will open at noon, and races will start at 3:00 pm. The goal is to have the program complete by 7:00 pm.  

The Factory Stock Division will have a Championship Fund that will pay the following; 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $250 and 3rd Place $200.

Nine cars or less in any Division will not have any contribution toward the Championship Fund for that specific event date if that should occur.

Based on the Car Count the Championship Funds could be anywhere from $3,825 - $8,700 for each Division. For up to a total of $26,100 for all Divisions. It all depends on the participation levels in each Division.

Parking for the Spectators is Free.
