Steve Hixson
Ringgold/Chattanooga (4/2/2010) - The RED HEADED STRANGLER Rex Richey (#16) of Tazewell, TN rode into BOYD's SPEEDWAY, Friday night and capped off the competition in fine WILD WEST fashion, riding the Hunt Bros. Taking the lead from Robby Mason on lap 12, the two-time Southern All-Star series champion led the remaining 8 laps but it was a SCATTER-BOMB for the remaining top 5 finishers as pole starter Jerry Coffman held back a hard chargin' 2009 division champion James Gamble. Mason would finish 4th, just ahead of Todd Morrow. Fellow S.A.S. alumni champion (1999) Jamie Perry (#T21) of Ringgold, GA, held off THE FLYIN WELSHAN Jason Welshan, whom started for 9th to claim the runners up prize in the Steel-Head LM feature. Brad Lowe was high-n-wide rumbling past RJ to finish 3rd. Rounding out the Top 5 was SPEED-RABBIT's best buddy Rick Hixson whom battled with Ronnie Johnson til the checkers.

Arva DADDY Brooks was 2nd with Corey Cresswell, Steve Tate and Jeff Page rounding out the Top 5, BOOGER's brother Ronnie Brooks took the B-Hobby feature again over Mike Chapman, Jacob Stewart, Bobby Phillips and Daniel Johnston.
